Bath Historical Society
Bath Historical Society is a nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting interest in the history and heritage of Bath, Maine, The City of Ships.
Our headquarters are at the Old Bath Custom House, formerly at the Sagadahoc History and Genealogy Room of the Patten Free Library in Bath. We provide financial and volunteer support to the History Room, collect photographs, documents and ephemera related to Bath, and present programs about people, places and events in Bath history.

Recent Program
In January 2026, Claude Berube presented on “Emma Eames: Bath’s Voice to the World” as a part of the Patten Free Library’s Town History Series. You can watch the program on the Library’s YouTube channel.
